Madini yanahitajika kutengeza damu na kusaidia kuzuia ugonjwa wa ukosefu wa damu mwilini. Mwanamke anahitaji kupata madini mengi maishani mwake, hususan wakati anapopata siku za mwezi na anapokuwa mja mzito.

  • Nyama (maini, moyo na figo)
  • Damu
  • Kuku
  • Mayai
  • Samaki
  • Mahragwe
  • Panzi, kriketi na mchwa
  • Peas

Vinginevyo pia ni kama:

  • Kabeji
  • Viazi
  • Koliflawa
  • Ndengu
  • Brussel sprouts
  • Turnips
  • Sunflower, simsim, mbegu za pumpkin
  • Strawberries
  • Mboga
  • Nanasi
  • Nduma
  • Seaweed
  • Broccoli
  • Matunda yaliyokaushwa (hususan tende)
  • Black-strap molasses

Waweza kupata madini zaidi ikiwa:

  • Utapika chakula ukitumia sufuria. Ikiwa utaongeza tomato, maji ya ndimu au limau(ambayo yako na vitamin c) kwa chakula wakati chakula kinapoiva, madini mengi yataingia kwa chakula.
  • Ongeza madini safi.
  • Weka vipande safi vya madini kwa maji ya limau kwa muda mfupi. Kisha tengeza sharubati ya limau halafu kunywa.
  • Ni vyema kula vyakula vya madini pamoja na matunda kama machungwa, limau au tomato(nyanya). Kwani yako na Vitamin C ambayo husaidia mwili wako kupata madini hayo katika chakula.
